Scroiler™ is a system of polluted air or gas purification by washing it with a fine drops “foam” of the water or a special liquid. This idea is being widely used by wet air scrubbers everywhere. Scroiler™ provides comparable or better cleaning results for all areas of scrubbers application.

Scroiler™ allows gases purification by 99% and higher. The degree of air purification depends on the impurities composition to clean and the washing liquid. Scroiler™ is tested currently in Russia at the facilities of several industries:

  • Coal boilers flue gas cleaning;
  • Aspiration of coal or ore loading facilities;
  • Aspiration of golden ore leach process;
  • Aspiration of hydrometallurgical processes.

The innovation of the Scroiler™ is based on the new system of gas-liquid “foam” production. In a traditional scrubber a fine injector is used to spray the fluid under high pressure and to produce a foam, or high pressure narrow neck to produce a Venturi effect for the same purpose. These solutions are very sensitive to the quality of the washing liquid (which turns to abrasive under pressure) and require frequent replacement of titanium neck elements. It’s expensive!

In the Scroiler™ for the first time in the world we produced the cleaning gas-liquid “foam” or “fluidized bed” by means of the micro-vortex effect induced by the transition of gas and liquid through a special dispersing grid under medium pressure. The grid splits the flow to the thin jets which to produce cleaning “foam”. We patented this invention.

Thanks to lower pressure Scroiler™ can run on a liquid with significant impurities that is sand or even small stones with the same cleaning effect. This means 3-5 times reduction in the volume of the circulating fluid sumps. A low pressure virtually eliminates wear of the purification system. This fact makes Scroiler™ very profitable in the operation. The Scroiler™ main element - the dispersing grid - is made of conventional plastiс and it gained already 3 years of running in pilot facilities without replacement. The Scroiler™ uses the cleaning liquid more efficiently thus reducing its consumption, and uses less aggressive liquids for the cleaning of the same effect.
